For the past 30 years

For the past 30 years I have been dedicated to commercializing the business value of deep tech, leading organizations, including ownership of a +$500M P&L with a global workforce of several hundred reports across several countries. Throughout my career I have scaled multiple businesses, created dominant market share products, acquired companies, sold off assets, reorganized to achieve profitability targets, as well as hired many individuals and mentored them to become business leaders.

Leveraging my education in semiconductors

Leveraging my education in semiconductors at The Georgia Institute of Technology; I started my career in engineering and moved on to 10 years of product management at Broadcom. I was instrumental in creating the ‘White Box’ switch business revolutionizing the hyperscaler data center switch market to catapult Broadcom into the undisputed leader of switching silicon, growing revenue from less than $100M/yr. to greater than $1B/yr.

I was the CEO of Fungible Inc

In my most recent operating role, I was the CEO of Fungible Inc where I led the company to an acquisition by Microsoft. I was recruited by the co-founder / CEO to lead the company 5 years after the company was founded. I shifted the company to a product-driven organization, focusing on finding product-market fit as well as winning customers. I hired, made cuts, killed projects, said no to distracting opportunities, raised money, and sold the company to Microsoft.

I have grown large businesses multiple times in my career

I have grown large businesses multiple times in my career, including as Inphi's SVP / GM, where I multiplied revenue 5x from $80M to $400M. In this role, I was responsible for all aspects of the PAM4 DSP business while reporting to the CEO. I created the annual strategic plan, committed to an annual operating plan, consistently grew design wins and partnerships worldwide, and delivered on the committed P&L. I set the long-term vision and built the organization to deliver on the strategy. To expand our multi-product line roadmap, I acqui-hired an engineering team and sold off their assets for a profit.

As a VP/GM at Cavium

As a VP/GM at Cavium I was hired to lead the acquisition of Xpliant and lead the business unit. When Cavium was acquired, I took on the role of SVP/GM Networking and Phy at Marvell. I was required to meet P&L corporate metrics for the combined businesses. I successfully merged a global workforce of multiple organizations, removed $20M from OPEX and delivered >20% Operating Income. I created and managed to an AOP as well as a 3-year plan.
